Sphagnum Angustifolium (Live Inoculum)
Morphology & Diagnosis: A species within the Cuspidata section that lives up to its specific epithet (angustifolium = narrow-leaved). It is characterized by remarkably narrow and lanceolate branch phyllids (leaves), which taper gradually to terminate in a pointed or acute apex.
Habit: This foliar morphology imparts a fine, silky texture to the colony. It typically forms extensive lawns or carpets, usually ranging in color from green to yellowish-green, commonly found in the wet hollows of minerotrophic mires.
