Morphology & Habit: A meso-morphic bryophyte characterized by a loose caespitose growth habit, forming non-compact hummocks. The branch phyllids (leaves) display a variegated chromatic range from pale green to hyaline-whitish, occasionally exhibiting distal pigmentation with pinkish or brownish hues in response to irradiance.
Chromatic Variability: Occasional phenotypes present caulids (stems) and folia with a uniform pale ochre or beige coloration, indicative of the intraspecific variability within the Rigida section.
