'New Zealand' Phenotype (Chromatic Variant): This specific provenance develops into dense cushions exhibiting a basal coloration ranging from olivaceous-green to fuscous brown. Its most valued diagnostic trait is its seasonal chromatic response: triggered by temperature drops and photoperiod shifts (autumn), it synthesizes secondary pigments that turn the tissue into vibrant intense cupreous-orange and ferruginous hues, offering a unique visual contrast in cultivation.
