Sphagnum subfulvum is native to the northern hemisphere. It is characterised by its compact, cushion-shaped growth form and its vibrant colouring ranging from green to yellowish-green.

Sphagnum subfulvum plants are moderate to robust in size, generally soft and lax, sometimes moderately stiff. The capitulum, or upper part of the plant, contains fascicles of densely clustered young branches. Branch leaves are oval, 2-2.5 mm, concave, straight, with involute apex.

Portion size approx. 6x3 cm.
