Quality and Botanical Commitment
1. Live and Exclusive Sphagnum Moss At EUSPAGNE, we take taxonomy very seriously. Each portion of moss is delivered in an individual container, correctly labeled with its specific botanical species.
Note on color: As this is living matter, hues may vary from photographs due to lighting, the season, or the plant's own genetics. This natural diversity is a guarantee that you are receiving a living, authentic product, not an artificial reproduction.
2. 3D Designs and Botanical Art Our 3D printing section is more than just decoration. We offer technical planters and relief art designed specifically for the cultivation and aesthetics of carnivorous plants, using durable, high-quality materials.
3. Precision Tools We know that success in cultivation depends on the details. That is why we provide you with the same measuring tools that we use ourselves. Correctly measuring water parameters is the key to maintaining your demanding species in optimal conditions.
Sphagnum Subfulvum
Sphagnum Subfulvum (Boreal Ecotype - Sweden)
Taxonomy & Morphology: A specimen of Nordic provenance (Sweden), belonging to the Acutifolia section. It is a moderate-to-robust bryophyte that combines a soft and lax structure with the ability to form compact cushions. Its branch phyllids (leaves) are diagnostic: ovate and concave, featuring a characteristic involute apex (edges rolled inward).
Chromatism & Aesthetics: The epithet subfulvum describes its unique coloration: "slightly fulvous" (tawny). Unlike intense reds, this species offers an elegant and warm palette transitioning from vibrant yellow-green to beige, amber, pale bronze, or brownish tones. It is valued for adding luminosity and natural contrast without being visually aggressive.
Ecology: An uncommon species typical of acidic mesotrophic fens. It prefers habitats with a slightly higher nutrient level than strict ombrotrophic bogs, suggesting good adaptability in cultivation.
Supply Format: Live inoculum portion: 6 x 3 cm (approx).
