In nature, carnivorous plants grow in bogs and peatlands that are extremely nutrient-poor; therefore, planting them in standard potting soil will quickly burn their delicate roots. This Massó blend exactly recreates their natural environment: it is acidic, spongy, retains the perfect amount of moisture, and most importantly, is 100% free of added fertilizers.
